3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
