And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, "Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
