Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the racers, panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
