Do you not see that We have appointed devils to incite those who deny the truth to disobedience? 83 So do not be impatient for them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); We are only completing their number.* (* The number of days left for them or their evil deeds.) 84 The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors 85 And drive the wicked into Hell like cattle driven to water, 86 They shall not own intercession, excepting those who have taken of the Compassionate a covenant. 87 And they say: The Beneficent Allah has taken (to Himself) a son. 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation 90 at their ascribing a son to the Most Compassionate Lord. 91 But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). 92 Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant. 93 He knows their number and has counted each one of them. 94 Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection. 95 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. 96 So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people. 97 And how many a generation We destroyed before them! Dost thou perceive so much as one of them, or hear of them a whisper? 98
