Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
