The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
