Al-Hummazah
The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in towering columns. 9
True are the words of God the Almighty.
