The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
