The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
