But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 This Qur’an is the speech of Allah with a gracious Noble Messenger. 40 And not the word of a poet. How little is it that you believe! 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 43 Had he invented against Us any sayings, 44 We assuredly had taken him by the right hand 45 then We would surely have cut his life-vein 46 And not one of you would have been able to stop (Us). 47 And verily, this [Qur'an] is a reminder to all the God-conscious! 48 We certainly know that some among you do deny it. 49 And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. 50 And verily it is the truth of assured certainty. 51 (Muhammad), glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 52
