O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 Or they say, “He is afflicted by a demon”; in fact he brought the Truth to them, and most of them dislike the Truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 until We opened the gate of greater torment (death) and they suddenly found themselves in despair. 77
