Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
