The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 closed around them 8 in extended columns. 9
