Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
