And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
