The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 and spreading shade 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
