The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 about what they did. 93 Therefore publicly announce what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
