This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
