3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
