Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
