The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
