The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
