We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
