Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 and ease my task for me. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 and remember you often. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
