Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
