The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 That “Go to Firaun he has rebelled.” 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
