Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
