Surely We have created man, and We know the promptings of his heart, and We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error. 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
