Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 Consider this Qur'an full of wisdom: 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 On a path that is straight, -- 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything. 9 And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
