Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
