Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
