The Unbelievers say: "What! when we become dust,- we and our fathers,- shall we really be raised (from the dead)? 67 We were promised this before, and so were our fathers. It is but the fictitious story of the ancients' 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say: "Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, may be close behind you. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 All the secrets in heavens and earth are recorded in the illustrious Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And it certainly is a Guide and a Mercy to those who believe. 77 Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, 78 Wherefore put thy trust in Allah; verily thou art on manifest truth. 79 You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call, when they turn their backs on it, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. 82
