Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement? 83 Hence, be not in haste [to call down God's punishment] upon them: for We but number the number of their days. 84 and on the Day when We will ceremonially gather the righteous to the Merciful, 85 and We shall drive the guilty ones to Hell as a thirsty herd. 86 [on that Day] none will have [the benefit of] intercession unless he has [in his lifetime] entered into a bond with the Most Gracious. 87 And they say: The Beneficent Allah has taken (to Himself) a son. 88 You have indeed advanced something hideous! 89 It is such a monstrosity that heavens might well-nigh burst forth at it, the earth might be cleaved, and the mountains fall 90 That ye ascribe unto the Beneficent a son, 91 And it does not befit the Most Gracious to choose an offspring! 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but he shall come to the Most Compassionate Lord as His servant. 93 He has counted and enumerated them one by one. 94 And every one of them will come to Him on the day of resurrection alone. 95 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 How many generations have We laid low before them. Do you see any sign of them, or hear the least whisper of them? 98
