In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 A sending down from the Merciful, the Compassionate. 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say: Our hearts are under coverings from that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and a veil hangs between us and you, so work, we too are working. 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 [and] those who do not spend in charity: for it is they, they who [thus] deny the truth of the life to come! 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
