Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
