We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
