▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 in a hidden Book 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
