Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 watching over you 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
