The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
