The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
