Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. 63 And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. 64 and who pray: "O our Sustainer, avert from us the suffering of hell - for, verily, the suffering caused by it is bound to be a torment dire: 65 Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to dwell. 66 and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes]; 67 and who never invoke any [imaginary] deity side by side with God, and do not take any human beings life - [the life] which God has willed to be sacred - otherwise than in [the pursuit of] justice, and do not commit adultery. And [know that] he who commits aught thereof shall [not only] meet with a full requital 68 he shall have his suffering doubled on the Day of Resurrection and he will abide forever in disgrace, 69 Excepted, however, shall be they who repent and attain to faith and do righteous deeds: for it is they whose [erstwhile] bad deeds God will transform into good ones - seeing that God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace, 70 Whosoever repents and does the right, will have turned back to God by way of repentance; 71 Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance); 72 Who, when reminded of their Lord's revelations, do not fall for them like the deaf and blind; 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest heaven, for that they endured patiently, and they shall receive therein a greeting and --' Peace!' 75 And abide there for ever: What an excellent destination and abode! 76 Say (O Muhammad, unto the disbelievers): My Lord would not concern Himself with you but for your prayer. But now ye have denied (the Truth), therefor there will be judgment. 77
