The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
