Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 raised couches, 13 Goblets set, 14 Cushions arranged, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 However, as for him who turns away, being bent on denying the truth, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
