The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
