Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
