S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. I swear by the Quran, which is full of reminders of God, (that you are a Messenger). 1 But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong. 2 Many a generation We did destroy before them – thereupon they cried out whereas it is not the time to escape! 3 They were surprised that one of them had come to them as warner; and the unbelievers said: "He is a deceiving sorcerer. 4 They say, "Has he condemned all other gods but One? This is certainly strange". 5 Their assembly left (saying): 'Go, and be patient to your gods, this is something to be desired. 6 We have heard nothing like this in the latest religion. This is only his own false invention. 7 Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! 8 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord, the Most Mighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them theirs? Then let them ascend by ropes! 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 The folk of Noah before them denied (their messenger) and (so did the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh firmly planted, 12 And the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the People of the Woods; these are the groups. 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
