The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
