The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
