The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
