He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 and fears (Allah), 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 exalted and purified, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 How We pour water in showers 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 his wife and his children. 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 and overcast with gloom: 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
